Organizational Goals
Established in 2006, the Osage City Area Community Foundation (OCACF) is a public, 501c(3) nonprofit community corporation that maintains endowments to be used for the benefit of the people of the Osage City area. As a community foundation, it has four main goals.
- Develop a permanent endowment.
- Provide a vehicle for donors varied interests.
- Promote a local philanthropy.
- Respond to changing community needs.
Empowering Donors & Building Community
The Osage City Area Community Foundation serves donors by enabling individuals and corporations to be architects of their own philanthropy. The Foundation can support projects of existing organizations. It offers sound management of endowed funds for its donors and for other community organizations. The Foundation also stimulates local philanthropy by bringing private and public funds together in joint ventures.
The Osage City Area Community Foundation acts as a channel for philanthropy through which donors:
- May make gifts, bequests or establish funds to benefit the community.
- May designate specific organizations to receive money.
- May establish memorial funds or scholarships.
- May make gifts of appreciated assets.
