Types of Funds

graduate

Since 2006, OCACF has awarded grants to not-for-profit organizations throughout Osage County. When you donate to OCACF, your voice matters. You can rest assured that your gift will go toward the causes you care about.

Donor Advised Funds

Donors establishing funds retain the highest level of involvement in the grant decision process. Contributors may make recommendations on grant recipients, subject to final approval by the OCACF Board of Directors. By having a voice, donors are virtually assured (subject to certain limitations) that the spirit of their gifts will endure. A $5,000 minimum gift is required to establish a donor advised fund.

Field of Interest Funds

This type of fund is ideal for those with an interest in a particular area, such as education or the arts. While the donor identifies the area of interest for the grant, specific organizations or individuals are not designated.

Designated Funds

Individuals may contribute to any of the designated funds to help build an organization's endowment or support special organizational projects.

Scholarships

Scholarship funds may be established by individuals or groups. Donors and scholarship committees make decisions on recipients.

Funds for the Future

These donors could be called "community builders," for they are building financial assets to perpetuate a rich, vibrant community for future generations. These donors may confer gifts during their lifetime, or through wills, trusts, memorials, or other means.

Why donate?

Flexibility and convenience. Osage City Area Community Foundation is extremely flexible in the variety of funds offered.

Your gift will keep on giving. The fund you establish will benefit the community now and in the future.

Designate your gift for a specific purpose that you care about. When you establish a fund, you may specify its purpose.

Choose the name for the fund you establish. Funds may be increased at any time by additional gifts. Grants from the fund you establish will always be recorded in the name of the fund, a lasting symbol of your caring.

Ease your tax burden. Contributions to the foundation generally qualify for maximum deductibility for income, gift, or estate tax purposes.
